CORRAL CANYON Cleveland National Forest Descanso District (619) 445-6235 www.sdorc.org/ohvareas/c_canyon/c_canyon.html DIRECTIONS: The Corral Canyon Off Road Vehicle Open Area is located within the southernmost third of Cleveland National Forest near Morena Reservoir. From the San Diego area, take I-8 east to Buckman Springs Road. Drive south 3.6 miles, turn right onto Corral Canyon Road and drive 6.2 miles to the Four Corners Trailhead. At the trailhead there is staging for over 12 miles of trails for all types of ORVs.

www.ca.blm.gov/ukiah/cowmtn.html DIRECTIONS: From Ukiah, take State Highway 101 south to the Talmage exit. Go east on Talmage Road about 1.5 miles. Turn right at East Side Road. Travel less than 0.5 miles to Mill Creek Road, which is on the left. Continue east on Mill Creek Road 3 miles to turnoff for the North Cow Mountain Area and 5 miles for entrance to South Cow Mountain. Obtain a free map at the BLM office in Ukiah of the Cow Mtn Recreation Area. Travel trailers are not recommended on any of the roads leading to the South Cow Mountain area.

www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/dumont.html DIRECTIONS: The riding area is south of the Armargosa River and east of State Highway 127, about 31 miles north of Baker, California. There are two ways of getting to the dunes. The Little Dunes staging and camping area is directly off Highway 127, conveniently located for immediate staging. One mile north of here, just off Highway 127, is Dumont Road, a dirt road which follows and crosses the river, leading to the main field of large dunes.

Most visitors access the area from US Highway 395 in Adelanto by taking Crippen Avenue west and following the signs toward the town of El Mirage. Just east of the community of El Mirage, Mountain View Road goes north from El Mirage Road and enters the El Mirage OHV Recreation Area. A sign at this intersection directs visitors to the recreation area

Access is via I-8 to State Highway 111 or 86. Hwy 86 becomes Heber Road where it intersects Hwy 111. Heber Dunes SVRA is bordered by Heber Road to the north and the Alamo Canal to the south and west. The new International border crossing into Baja, California, Mexico is located three miles south of the park

http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1192  DIRECTIONS: Hungry Valley is located in Gorman off of the I-5 freeway in the Tejon Pass, 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 55 miles south of Bakersfield. If traveling north on I-5, exit at the Gorman off-ramp. Turn left at the stop sign onto Gorman Post Road, traveling under the freeway. Make a right onto Peace Valley Road. The entrance to the park is one mile north on Peace Valley Road, to the left. (If traveling south on I-5, turn right under the freeway.)

JOHNSON VALLEY OHV RECREATION AREA Barstow Field Office (760) 252-6000
www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/johnson.html DIRECTIONS: The riding area is off Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road) and Camp Rock Road, about 55 miles southeast of Barstow or about 25 miles east of Victorville. Most visitors access the area off Camp Rock Road driving north off of Highway 247. Staging for many competitive events is at Anderson Dry Lake, about 10 miles north of Highway 247 just east of Camp Rock Road. There is also access north of Highway 247, driving east toward Yucca Valley, at Bessemer Mine Road (to get to Soggy Dry Lake) and Boone Road. All of these roads are graded dirt roads.

The area can be reached from San Diego by taking I-8 east to the Boulevard/Manzanita exit and then Route 94 east to McCain Valley Road. The staging area is 5.2 miles north of I-8.

MAMMOTH BAR Auburn State Recreation Area, Plaster and El Dorado Counties (530) 885-5821 DIRECTIONS: Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills about 30 miles northeast of Sacramento. The entrance to Mammoth Bar is located on Old Foresthill Road. The easiest access if off of I-80 north of Auburn. Take the Foresthill exit off I-80 and go east about 2.5 miles to the Old Foresthill Road. Turn right on Old Foresthill and the entrance is about 1.5 miles on the left.

MOJAVE NATIONAL PRESERVE (FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE ROADS ONLY) Southeastern California (760) 255-8801

http://www.ca.blm.gov/elcentro/plaster_city.html   DIRECTIONS: Interstate 8 East to Dunaway Road. Turn left at the stop sign, passing over I-8. At the end of Dunaway Rd. is Evan Hewes Hwy (Old 80). Turn left and head toward Plaster City. Plaster City East OHV entrance is about a mile up the road on the north side of Evan Hewes (your right). Plaster City West OHV entrance is about a mile or so past Plaster City on the north side of Evan Hewes (your right). From the North end of Imperial Valley: Take Hwy 86/78 to S30 (Forrester Rd), turn right. Proceed to Imler Road, turn right and follow until it dead-ends at Evan Hewes (Old 80). Turn right and head toward Plaster City (right in front of you). Plaster City East OHV entrance is about a mile up the road on the north side of Evan Hewes (your right). Plaster City West OHV entrance is about a mile or so past Plaster City on the north side of Evan Hewes (your right).

RASOR OHV AREA Barstow

www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/rasor.html DIRECTIONS: The riding area is between I-15 and the Mojave National Preserve about 25 miles southwest of Baker. Access roads are Basin Road and Rasor Road east of the I-15. Both of these roads are graded dirt roads.

LOCATION: The San Bernardino National Forest lies in the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California at the east end of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is located near the cities of San Bernardino, Hemet and Palm Springs.

SPANGLER HILLS
Ridgecrest
(760) 384-5400 DIRECTIONS: From the south, use US 395 to the town of Red Mountain and then take the Trona-Red Mountain Road 7 miles north to the boundary of the OHV area. Teagle Wash, a great place to unload and begin your riding is another two miles north. From the City of Ridgecrest, take the Trona-Red Mountain Road from SR178. Spangler can also be accessed from within the City of Ridgecrest by traveling south approximately 3 miles on College Heights Boulevard to the OHV area north boundary.

www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/stoddard.html DIRECTIONS: The riding area is in the wedge formed by I-15 and California Highway 247 (Barstow Road) south of Barstow. Most visitors access the area to the east off I-15 at the Outlet Center Drive exit (Sidewinder Road) or at the Hodge Road exit. From California 247 (Barstow Road exit) about 10 miles south of Barstow, turn off on Stoddard Wells Road or 15 miles south of Barstow at the access route behind the Slash X Cafe. All these entrances are dirt roads.

SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN OPEN AREA Imperial County (760) 767-4400
www.ca.blm.gov/elcentro/superstition.html  DIRECTIONS: Interstate 8 East to Dunaway Road. Turn left at the stop sign, passing over I-8. At the end of Dunaway Rd. is Evan Hewes Hwy (Old 80). Turn right on Evan Hewes. Follow Evan Hewes to Huff Rd., turn left. (There will be houses on the right - south side of Evan Hewes - where you will be turning.) Follow Huff up to the Superstitions. Wheeler Rd. is a dirt road just before you go past the Superstitions to the playground. Turn left on Wheeler. Veer to the left. Follow the road around and when you come to the fork, veer to the right....follow down to the playground/competition area. From the North end of Imperial Valley: Take Hwy 86/78 to S30 (Forrester Rd), turn right. Proceed to Imler Road, turn right and follow to Wheeler Rd (past the big dip and just past the Superstitions) and make a right. Veer to the left. Follow the road around and when you come to the fork, veer to the right....follow down to the playground/competition area.

www.goodtime.net/mvi/lomvi099.htm DIRECTIONS: Take I-5 to San Juan Capistrano. Exit the freeway onto the Ortega Hwy (Hwy 74) eastbound. Follow Hwy 74 east for approximately 25 miles to the Forest Service Station at El Cariso. Continue past the station for approximately 1000 feet to the intersection with Killen Road. Turn right and follow the road south for approximately 9 miles to the Wildomar OHV area.
