Thanks for the D37 coverage

Dear fellow off-road riders and reporters,
I’d like to thank you ALL for the wonderful magazine, and want you all to know how much I/we appreciate the awesome coverage of all the events. I’d like to personally thank Lee “Sizzlin” Bacon for his great coverage of the District 37 GP series, as well as his riding and writing talents. Look see ya all at round #5, after the summer..play, re-build, practice, work-out sessions???...or whatever... and lastly thanks for the nice plug.
SINCERELY

What’s the story on Corral Canyon?
SDOR
To go to Corral Canyon you need an Advent

ure Pass plus a green sticker. What is an Adventure Pass and where do you get them? Are they good for a year, week, day, hours?

Here’s the word we got from the chairman of the San Diego Off Road Coalition: Yes, you will need a green sticker or street license on your OHV and an Adventure Pass to ride at Corral Canyon. Red sticker vehicles can be operated at Corral during the months of December and January. You can buy a day use pass for $5 or a year pass for $30 at many local sporting goods stores. Some businesses in and near the forests sell them also. More information can be found at: http://www.fsadventurepass.org and www.fs.fed.us/r5/cleveland/passes/index.shtml

Political Action Committee Formed
The Off-Road Business Association is proud to announce the formation of the ORBA California State Political Action Committee. Rocky Trevino, the owner of Cycle Parts West, will be serving as President of the ORBA PAC. Loren Snyder, President of ProComp Suspension, will be serving as the Treasurer.

As we are sure you are aware there are a multitude of land use restrictions imposed on the off-roaders. Other organizations have had long-standing PAC’s that have been able to influence the election of legislators who support their particular issues, most notably the environmental extremist groups. The California off-road industry has never had a Political Action Committee to exert this type of political influence. We now have the ORBA California State PAC!

The strength of any Political Action Committee is directly proportional to its financial resources. To that end, we would like to invite all off-roaders that are concerned about their right to recreate to make a contribution to help us kick-start the PAC. Please note there is no tax deduction associated with the contribution.

We are very optimistic about the current election cycle in California. With Governor Schwarzenegger in place we believe that we can have significant influence on getting candidates who support the off-road recreation elected to state offices. This is an unprecedented opportunity for off-roaders to make a real difference in California!

Thank you in advance for your support.
